Company Background

U. S. General Construction, Inc. is one of the oldest general contractors in Atlanta, specializing in various commercial construction including fast food restaurants/casual dining, gas stations/convenience stores, banks, and retail/shopping centers.  Founded in 1968 by Richard H. Peden, Sr., U. S. General has grown from an Atlanta based company to one that builds in fifteen states throughout the southeast. The company operates with three project managers, two estimators, and fifteen full time superintendents which have an average of over fifteen years with U. S. General.  Office employees have an average of over twenty-five years of tenure with the company. 

 

Restaurants

U. S. General’s expertise in restaurant construction started in 1968 with the construction of Davis Brothers Cafeteria.  Having built over three thousand restaurants since 1968, our clients are confident they can trust us to deliver a quality building that is completed on time and within budget.  U. S. General has been building for some of our clients for over 45 years and we continue to do business with them today. Our projects include some of the most recognized brands in America and include:  Bojangles’, Burger King, Capital Grille, Chick-fil-A, Hardee’s,

IHOP, KFC, Krispy Kreme, Krystal, Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Seasons 52, Smokey Bones, Starbucks, Steak ‘n Shake, Taco Bell, Waffle House, and Wendy’s.

 

Financial Institutions

U. S. General has been building financial institutions since 1984.  Hundreds of projects in this sector have been completed and include:  Bank of America, Chase Bank, Lockheed Credit Union, and many start-up community banks.

 

Petroleum/Convenience Store

In 1969, U. S. General started building gas stations.  Hundreds of these gas stations have been built and remodeled throughout the southeast.  With our extensive experience including installation of the petroleum tanks to delivering a product that is trusted.  U. S. General has the knowledge and experienced personnel to get the job done.  Some clients include:  Amoco, BP, Mobil Oil, The Pantry/Kangaroo, QuikTrip, RaceTrac, Shell, and Texaco.

 

Retail/Office/Specialty Construction

U. S. General offers a wide range of various commercial construction.  Building retail shopping centers ranging from 5,000 sf to 80,000 sf for developers has been a niche for U. S.
